Scott Kaesemeyer founded Gear Adrift Watch Co. in 2025, bringing his passion for individually handcrafted mechanical watches into a company built around personal meaning. Today, Gear Adrift Watch Co. LLC carries that vision forward: a watch can tell the time and tell a story.
Scott served for 26 years in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. That experience gives the anchor a lasting place in his life and in the company’s identity—a symbol of purpose, steadiness, and connection. At the watchmaking bench, his appreciation for care, patience, and attention to detail finds a new expression.
Every build begins with something personal. It may be a family connection, a memory, a love of the sea, a meaningful milestone, or an imaginative idea. Those stories help guide the choices that make each watch its own, from the character of the dial to the way the finished piece feels on the wrist.
